We lost our salt shaker a couple of weeks ago...why didn't I think to look for it in the dogs toy basket? :) and more importantly HOW did it end up in there? My concern is that it was probably ME who put in in there!!
Like promised, our little hair pin. . .in action. She selects the oddest of positions :)
I've dubbed my favorite pictures "Shutter Candy"...coz after all my faves really are candy to my eyes :) I have an album FULL of Shutter Candy. . .sweet child. Here is another one of my absolute favorites from when she was born...She was only 6 days old in this picture.
In other news - dare I say our Chlo-worm is sleeping like a champ?? Will I jinx it if I do? We've changed her night time routine. I think there are alot of factors that have allowed for a smooth transition into her new schedule - no more colic being the biggest one. She's always fought sleep and fought her bed, but I do believe it's because of her colic and she was constantly seeking comfort from touch. 7pm marks bath time, bed time feed and off to sleep - and mommy and daddy get to spend 13 quiet hours together! Its AMAZING. She is also doing alot better now that she is getting 13 hours instead of the 6 hours she's been surviving on for the past 10 weeks.
Weather has been warmer too, allowing for more outings. It's incredible what a difference a week makes in an infants world. Last week keeping her occupied during a shopping trip was doable but a real challenge...this week she thinks her car seat toys are the most incredibly intriguing color combinations she's ever laid eyes on and as a result they keep her happy for a good 40 minutes. Being able to quietly shop {all mothers KNOW what I mean about QUIETLY shop :) } Unfortunately too many times I have been that shopper with the loudest child. Yeah, Murphy's law. . .
As I am always seeking creative ways to keep Chloe stimulated during her awake times...I try all sorts of methods, toys and baby gear. Recently I stumbled upon the MamaRoo. WOW WOW WOW!! Now granted the cost is what I would consider rather high, hence my good luck when I found a gently used MamaRoo at a 2nd hand store. Chloe thinks this is the best thing since daffy duck. The motion options are similar to the movements know today - and comes with the sounds associated - for example it simulates a car ride and has the car white noise sound to go alongside. Gosh, clever inventors!
So, to sum up our current week {10 weeks} - BLISS. This is what I love about 10 weeks: a child that can entertain herself for over 10 minutes...a child that sleeps through the night, allows for non ear piercing shopping trips, goes to sleep ON HER OWN {{Whoohoo!!}} . . .I saw a 5 month old yesterday and could hardly believe our little Chlo-worm will be that much further along in only 2 months time...I want to keep her 10lbs - I'll miss it when my little bubba grows up. I miss her being 7lbs...but there is so much ahead too :) xoxo
