This term may seem meaningless to some people, others it may stir some distant memories - and finally others might translate this word directly to mean 'HELL'. For me and my household, it means the latter. Let me explain. It was about 8 days ago that little Chlo-worm started cutting 4 teeth - ALL AT THE SAME TIME. She is a girl through and through - and does not like discomfort or pain in any shape, form or fashion. It was 8 days ago that sleep no longer occurred in this house - and about 4 days after that mommy nearly suffered burn out and exhaustion. Chloe was half an inch away from spending some quality time with some close relatives. There was one night - I cannot remember which night it was as everything bleeds into the same memory - where I rocked Chloe from 1am until 7am in an effort to soothe her. She was miserable...and nothing nothing nothing, I repeat - NOTHING was working. I tried it all. We made late night trips to the grocery store to scrounge the shelves for something we may had missed - anything that would help Chloe feel better. She detested orajel - the feeling of her gums being numb sent her into higher pitches of screams. Tylenol did nothing, Motrin did nothing. Teething tablets eased the pain for less than an hour. Each night she was up every 50 minutes screaming loud enough to wake the neighbors 10 doors down. I was wondering at this point if we were all going to survive Chloe cutting a whole mouthful of teeth.
My sister called me one day and said " keep an open mind, I'm going to send you a link to look at". Open mind? Heck...bring it on! The link was to a Baltic Amber Teething Necklace. Needless to say I didn't even finish reading the first review when I was scrambling to buy this thing. I paid a UPS man's weekly salary in getting it shipped within 24 hours. I was so desperate at this point I didn't care how much I had to pay. It arrived on my doorstep within 20 hours - and was hanging around Chloe's neck the minute she got home from school. I was skeptical but hopeful. My skepticism need only last a few hours...that night was the FIRST TIME in over a week that she went to sleep and stayed asleep without a fight! She was a different child...she was calm, and happy and back to her normal self. I thought it was too good to be true, so I waited another night - sure as anything - ANOTHER good night!

The relief is overwhelming! Jon took this snap shot of our happy little wormie. As you can see she is wearing her amber necklace...which will NEVER come off if I have anything to say about it! :)

I'd like to give a special shout out to a friend from my childhood - Coll. I reached out to her with questions relating to the necklace as her daughter spent her infancy sporting her own amber necklace. I'm very grateful to you Coll for sharing your knowledge and information!
