Chalking 'til our heart's content

I thought it was a good time in life to get creative in order to channel the combination of nervous energy and excitement. My sweetheart made me a nice big chalk board a couple of weeks ago, so I've whipped the chalk out and decided to document the growing babe in an art form. Granted I'm not the most artistic, but we'll try...
The chalk board is handmade from scratch. The frame was made out of 100 year old barn wood cut to size. The actual board is 1/4 inch plywood covered in many layers of chalkboard paint. The chalkboard measures 3' by 4' so it quite a lot larger than what it appears in the picture above.
Week by week, as the little babe grows from an appleseed to a cantaloupe, we'll keep you posted in creative ways. Til next time...
