Baby furniture has ARRIVED! and it's beautiful :) I was hoping to have the nursery together by now, unfortunately not, so the photo of the week reveals the upturned life we are currently experiencing :) {gosh and she hasn't even arrived yet!!}
Week 28:
How I actually feel!
I'd like to note that those boots took me a good 10 minutes to get on. I tried every angle and position of the bending down motion to get them on. Who knew you could accomplish a cardio workout while getting ready? As Jon is gone before I'm up each morning, assistance is hard to come by when it comes to getting ready. When I reach 36+ weeks I'm sure I'll have all sorts of tales to tell :) Or I'll just be a barefoot nudist by then.
I did get my results back on the glucose test - and I passed! Kinda feels like the same good as passing a college exam :)
Monday is the final 4D ultrasound! Expect pictures. I haven't forgotten about the additional maternity pics I mentioned - they will appear on this blog in the coming...future.
In other news - we have a pot belly pig running loose in the neighborhood. And no, it's not me :) I was driving down the road yesterday and had a "what the. . .heck?" moment when I saw it. It's cute - I was pondering tackling it and carrying him home for safe keeping. Jon reckons for the christmas pot - haha, just joking - he wouldn't fit... :) But alas, even though he is the size of a small/medium dog I am almost sure he would outweigh me...and attempting to tackle a pig in my state would be more than humorous.
Chloe is getting nice and big - she is really good at moving those little knees and elbows. She got another fright this week that resulted in hiccups :) For the next 15 minutes she hiccuped and hiccuped . . .
We can officially check off week 2 of birthing classes. We learned how to breathe . . . I have to admit that if Jon and I were tested on the methods of breathing we would fail miserably. The teacher has you focus on breathing while your partner pinches your arm . . . we spend more time arguing as I said he was pinching me too hard to focus on the breathing aspect and eventually we just ended up in fits of giggles. We're good students.
Check back next week and we should have some visual updates of our baby girl.
Have a good weekend!
