Good news! We had our first doctor's appointment on Thursday and got to see our little one! The little heart beat was drumming away at a healthy 154 beats a minute - what an incredible sound! It's so amazing to see your baby for the first time - gosh, is that little being really mine??

7 weeks 5 days

The baby is growing well and is measuring a few days older than originally calculated - which means, yes - we're due a few days sooner! December 15th is the new estimated arrival of little baby Addington. So excited that the days weren't extended...

Next scan will be at the end of July when we find out the gender. July can't come soon enough! We're going to have to start taking bets on whether little baby Addington is a girl or boy! Jon and I are equally divided on this - so who has the best guessing skills?

I'm looking forward to the 1st Trimester nausea and exhaustion to be over. It's difficult to get stuck into designing the new baby room when you feel more like seeking the reprieve of an unconscious sleep or hugging the toilet. June 9th marks the beginning of the 2nd trimester - between now and then we'll be hopping on a plane bound for Cabo Mexico! I've posted a picture below of our destination.

Time to begin packing the bags!
