Week 12

5:05 PM

We're back! We're now rejuvenated and ready to take our places again. While we were away the little baby birds grew their wings and flew away. I was rather sad to see an empty nest but hope the little feathers are finding their way okay.

Since I last posted :-

  • We have safely made it to week 12 with week 13 a mere few days away. Yip, you know what that means - trimester 2! A whole new slew of symptoms have arrived too - for example HEADACHES, big time. Also dizziness. But the exhaustion and mild nausea are gone.
  • I am 100% sure I felt the baby move a few days ago - several times two days in a row! It was incredible x1000 :) First time felt like a series of really strong heartbeats that were visible just below my belly button. Then the second time the baby was wiggling around for about 15 seconds. This is definitely an amazing feeling!!
  • We swam with wild sea lions in Cabo! Put that on your bucket list coz it's a MUST DO. Their 1100lb body size can be intimidating and if that doesn't get your blood pumping then their sheer speed in the water will! Although they're wild, they're relatively safe. Yes - relatively :)
  • I swam in the Pacific Ocean for the first time! My synopsis of that event? The water is a freezing deep blue with an extreme under tow that will challenge even the best of swimmers.
Right, lets get to the best part! THE PICTURES!

I was 11 week 2 days in this picture

What a life, right? Introducing the little one to island life.

Isla Espiritu Santo - this was our lunch spot!

Swimming with the Sea Lion Colony - Isla Espiritu Santo

The Sea Lions look dead - but they're just chilling with their flappers in the air :) That's Jon and I just a few feet off to the left.

Lands End - where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez

Tomorrow is our next doctor's appointment. We'll check the baby's heartbeat and see if the Doctor's scale indicates a zero weight gain like mine does...

See you next week!
