Week 20

2:42 PM

Now that we have a gender confirmation we’ve spent the week learning to call the little one a “her” or “she” or even better “Chloe”. I’ve finally stopped referring to her as a him and it. Gosh, who likes being called an it?! So no more it J I was listening to Jon talking about our baby to a 3rd party this week and it was so sweet to hear him refer to his little girl. Makes me realize just how thrilled I am that he’ll have a little girl to guide and love in a way little girls need from their daddy’s.
20 Weeks 4 days

Chloe’s been growing like a little weed too {as you can see from the pic above!} – at the end of last week I could tell she was the size of my hand, roughly. This week she is feeling bigger as I can put my fingertips on her little head and feel her wiggle her whole body down my hand and beyond my palm. Her movements are also getting really strong and more defined. Last night Jon and I lay in bed watching her wiggle and jump as she moved from one side of my tummy to the next. This week she is measuring the length of a banana so in a few weeks she will no longer be swimming those laps around the amniotic fluid like an Olympian.  . .
As for the grower of this baby – I’m feeling pretty good. My limitations are slowing becoming more and more apparent as my tummy continues to grow. It’s a little more difficult to paint my nails, tie my shoes. . .look decent. My dresses are getting shorter too and I knew it wasn’t because I’m getting taller. . .I thought for sure it was because they were shrinking in the wash – turns out the belly makes them shorter. So I now sport mini dresses. What a lovely look. So my dresses are now only to be worn at home, further limiting my wardrobe.  We’re heading to a private villa in Mexico in 3 weeks’ time so I won’t have to worry about my clothes getting shorter, and tighter or my zipper not budging. . .for 2 weeks anyway J Packing will be easy coz all I’m worried about is the bikini being packed   {will it fit??!!}

This week I'd like to make a special shout out to a dear friend expecting her 2nd baby. Julianne/Jake is running a little behind "our" schedule - but of course right on his/hers. Can't wait to see pictures of your new little one Debs! Also, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY for the 6th! A new baby is a wonderful anniversary present {Jon and I will also be marveling over Chloe on our wedding anniversary  {{8 YEARS!!}} that will shortly follow her birth} .

Thanks for checking in, we'll see you next week!
