35 Weeks

5:46 PM

We have a thriving baby! He's growing, kicking and hiccuping like a lil champ. He has dropped slightly, but not head down unfortunately. As of right now Declan is breech. I have an ultrasound on Wednesday to determine his position again. At that point we'll decide on the next step. Really hoping this lil guy will flip in the coming days. . .

Declan is carving his own way - forming his own story, and doing his best to make it different from Chloe's journey to birth. Our last few weeks of anticipated excitement has an added layer of apprehension. But. . .the good news is the winter ice storm hit us today! This can only mean we'll be free and clear of bad winter weather come d-day. Right? This is our hope.

In other news, nesting is futile with a toddler tornado. She's so active, and I'm so energy deprived - we're a real pair I tell ya :) Jon sweeps in to take her for walks, dances around the bonus room floor, and races around the house. It's a relief! Mommy is trying to save these wobbly hips for a special date coming up soon!

The ice storm rages on outside our windows. Electricity has flickered several times already. Tonight we will sleep to the small "pings" of ice hitting the roof and windows. And tomorrow we will awaken to a completely frozen earth. But soon it will be Spring. . .
